What is Movemaker?
If you buy a new David Wilson home, we’ll help you arrange to sell your existing home with no estate agents fees to pay.
How it works:
When you reserve a new David Wilson home, even if it is currently being built, you can rest assured that for an agreed period of time the price is fixed. We will instruct an estate agent who will arrange a valuation of your current property. Once we have agreed the selling price, the Movemaker agreement can then be completed and the estate agent will begin to market your property.
When a buyer has been found, the estate agent will help to complete the sale smoothly and efficiently. You will then be ready to move into your fabulous new David Wilson home.
What about Help to Buy?
Most of our customers don’t realise that you can combine Movemaker with the government backed Help to Buy scheme and that its available for people that are not first time buyers. By combining the two we are able to save our customers time and money, making the experience of moving home less stressful and far more exciting.
Help to Buy allows customers to purchase a property with only a five percent deposit. The government then lends an equity loan on 20% which means you only need a 75% mortgage.
