Help to Buy Equity Loan Scheme Quarterly Statistics - January 2018

The latest Help to Buy statistics released on 11th January 2018 show that more than 140,000 homes have been bought with a Help to Buy Equity Loan.

The main points are:

  • 144,826 properties were bought with the support of the Help to Buy Equity Loan scheme
  • the majority of sales were to first-time buyers (116,898) representing 81% of total sales
  • the average purchase price was £243,818

North West local authorities featured in the top 20 in terms of completed sales include: Cheshire West and Chester (12th), Liverpool (13th), Manchester (14th) and Cheshire East (16th).
