Along with families from all over Lancaster, Mayor, Councillor Jon Barry, last weekend helped celebrate the launch of Barratt Homes Manchester’s stunning new show homes at its picturesque Quernmore Park development in Lancaster.
The event was hosted by the house builder at its brand new show homes opposite Williamson Park, and included a chance to sample some of the best local produce from across the region.
Designed to showcase Lancashire’s unique culinary delights, guests were treated to an afternoon of local food and kids’ entertainment. Covering all the action on the day was local radio station, Bay Radio, which also shone the spotlight on local suppliers present.
A selection of local deli food supplied by Country Style Meats Farm Shop, were served in the show kitchens, and included a choice of Lancashire cheeses & biscuits, homemade pickles, cooked organic meats, fruit and local cakes. Lancaster Brewery were also be onsite with a range of their local ales to taste, try and buy.
Quernmore Park comprises of 128 spacious two, three and four bedroom homes built in a traditional style to blend in with the attractive stone built architecture which surrounds it. As well as offering contemporary family homes to buy, Quernmore Park also provides 30 much needed affordable homes for local people.
In addition to the provision of affordable homes at a cost of £1,611,000, Barratt Manchester has also contributed £200k to Lancaster City Council, to go towards the funding of green spaces for public use, highway improvements along Quernmore Road, local transport and primary education.
The Five Star builder has also built homes in other parts of Lancaster, including Riverside View on New Quay Road.
