LOVELL HOMES was joined by Homes England, the government’s housing agency and Cllr Harry Hancock, the Mayor of South Ribble, on Thursday 17 October to cut the ribbon at Shawbrook Manor, its latest government-backed housing development in the North West region.

Shawbrook Manor is a development of 200 homes to the south of Leyland that boasts easy access to the M6. The development, which officially opened on Saturday 19 October, is part of the government’s Accelerated Construction’ programme and will be built in less than 36 months as per the conditions of the scheme.

Once complete, the development will comprise a mixture of two, three, four and five bed homes and two-bedroom bungalows in a variety of different styles. Of the 200 homes being built on site, 60 will also be supplied as affordable housing, which will be overseen by Together Housing - one of the largest housing associations in the north of England.

All homes on the private market at Shawbrook Manor are available to purchase with the government’s Help to Buy: Equity Loan scheme. Under the initiative, buyers can secure their home with a 5% deposit and a 75% mortgage. The remaining 20% is then paid off as an equity loan, which remains interest-free for the first five years.

A handful of homes are available to purchase off-plan, with prices starting from £197,950.
