Planning approved for new Prospect Homes in Clitheroe
Plans have been approved for a development which will deliver 36 homes in Clitheroe. Prospect Homes are building the homes on land off Union Street in Low Moor.
The brand new Greenfields development will comprise a range of two to four-bedroom homes and two bedroom bungalows, as well as public open space and landscaping.
Christine Kynaston, Sales and Marketing Director for Prospect Homes, said: “Our new development off Union Street in Low Moor will provide much-needed new housing for the area in a sustainable location just a mile from Clitheroe town centre.
“The scheme has been carefully designed to reflect the existing character of the area and blend in sympathetically with its surroundings, and we believe it will make a positive addition to the town.
“Our Rose Gardens development off Woone Lane in Clitheroe has proved popular with buyers, and these latest homes are a further sign of our commitment to help meet the high demand for housing in the area.”
The proposed development will go some way to helping the council meet its objective of providing 5,600 new homes in the Ribble Valley by 2028. They will also have provision for bat and bird boxes.
Of the 36 proposed dwellings, 25 will be sold on the open market, while a further 11 will be made available as affordable housing, theses will also include bungalows earmarked for the over 55’s.
