VIP visit to Help to Buy development in Cheshire
The Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne, visited a Help to Buy development in Cheshire this week.
Persimmon Homes welcomed the Chancellor to its Elworth Park development in Sandbach, Cheshire, to promote the success of Help to Buy and the launch of the Help to Buy ISA.
Mr. Osborne was given a tour of the 120 home development where he tried his hand at brick laying and chatted with an apprentice joiner.
The Help to Buy scheme has already helped 130,000 people in the UK onto the housing ladder and has proved particularly popular in the North West with 13,000 people benefiting from the scheme.
The Government-backed equity loan scheme is available to first-time buyers and people already on the property ladder and requires just a 5% deposit and a mortgage of up to 75% of the value of the property.
There are hundreds of Help to Buy properties available on our website – check them out on the Property Search page.
